Scholarship Applicant Deadline
August 7th 2023
August 14th 2023
September 4th 2023
The Craft is looking for applicants who demonstrate strong critical thinking, design, and communication skills to become future Product Designers.
We have a three-step admissions process.
1. Submit a written application, which includes materials that will help us assess your qualifications.
2. Strong candidates will be invited to interview.
3. Admitted candidates will receive an invitation to the cohort (and details on the scholarship application when relevant).
Please note that we review applications on a rolling basis until the deadline so applicants that apply earlier are more likely to receive a spot once admitted to the program. Applicants applying for a scholarship must apply by the Scholarship application deadline.
If you are admitted and we have no spots available, you will be eligible for the next cohort. We limit students so we can keep the quality high and work closely with you to help you be successful.
About the Program
This course is self-paced, online, and remote. Students take 4-6 months. The difference is based on whether you continue working or take the course full time. We recommend committing at least 20 hours a week for meaningful progress.
✅ Understand what design is and the different roles in the tech industry.
✅ Learn the tools we recommend based on what is most commonly used in the tech industry.
✅ Learn about human centered design and the processes designers use to solve problems.
✅ Learn one of a kind curriculum created by a professional that features proprietary learning videos, quizzes, and content.
✅ Free 1 year membership to The Craft. Learn from experts and make friends with other ambitious designers.
We work with industry leading designers. We expect you to be highly motivated and ready to learn.
You must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, visual skills, empathy, and communication.
You will need a minimum of 15 hours a week availability for the course.
You must be available to meet once a week with your mentor and team. We will coordinate with various time zones. We also hold monthly office hours for the US and EU, and design reviews.
Mentorship from Senior Product Design Experts
Our course is created to mimic a real working environment at a tech company. This means we expect you to work as a team, communicating and collaborating with your cohort members, and attend a weekly meeting with your mentor.

How to Interview
What Happens When You Take a Bootcamp With The Craft?
Come away from this bootcamp with a complete portfolio ready for interviewing. We're going to review ALL of your work and make sure that it's industry ready and NOT a typical cookie cutter bootcamp portfolio.
When you have completed the entire course and you have your mentors stamp of approval. We will officially give you a fancy certificate and we encourage you to show it off for all your hard work. You can even add it to your LinkedIn profile for added credibility. After all, we only admit top tier applicants!
All of this was for a job! So you best believe we expect you to get a job within 12 months of graduating the program. A typical interview process takes about 3-6 months. If you don't get a job within 12 months with all of our help (impossible by the way) we will literally refund you.
